General Purpose:

Provides internal human resources support to ISS-ULink office and external support to affiliated schools and new projects.

Reports to:

General Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Provide supervision and oversight of assigned HR and administrative support staff including hiring, coaching, training, work assignments, and managing performance;
  • Develop, plan and implement HR policies procedures and best practices for company and affiliated schools’ HR units, including but not limited to criteria and indicators for recruiting, screening, assessment, interviews and evaluation;
  • Develop a systematic method of talent identification; Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs;
  • Leading and directing the HR team, inclusive of affiliated schools, to deliver a comprehensive HR service to the schools/organization; Manage all employee relations, including absence, disciplinary, grievances and sickness;
  • Track and analyze key metrics to monitor employee satisfaction and performance; identify trends and metrics based on evidence;
  • Implement the development of agenda and training of personnel; identify areas that need attention and improvement;
  • Ensuring all company policies and procedures are up to data and in line with current employment law and ensuing line managers are up to data with any change in policy;
  • Consult with leadership and/or school unit supervisors on writing and developing job descriptions to meet staffing needs and upgrades;
  • Assist in developing a competency-based system to build capacity;
  • Consult with leadership on developing organizational structures that enhance effectiveness and reduce administrative costs within the work unit;
  • Plan and oversee compensation plans and implementation; provide consultation on salary administration and recommend appropriate salary actions;
  • Maintains human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records; maintains all necessary records to protect against legal risks;
  • Other work-related tasks as designated by General Manager.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree or above in human resources management or other relevant fields;
  • Minimum five years of leadership experience in human resources positions;
  • English/Mandarin bilingual proficiency;
  • Sufficient knowledge of up to date employment law and regulations;
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience in a Western workplace preferred;
  • Comfort with technology including OS X, Microsoft Office, Excel and databases;
  • Trustworthy with confidential information;
  • Efficient organizational skills;
  • Flexibility in adjusting to organizational growth;
  • Willingness to be part of a Professional Learning Community.
